Andrejs Cebers

Andrejs Cebers – Dr. Sci. in Physics and Mathematics, professor, professor of University of Latvia, Head of the Department of theoretical physics and the  Laboratory of Magnetic Soft Materials (MMML).

In 1971 graduated from the Latvian State University named after Piotr Stuchka (winner of the “Red Banner of Labour” award), major “Physics”. By the decision of the Mechanics Council №2 at the Lomonosov Moscow State University December 10th 1976 he was awarded the academic degree of Cand. Sci. in Physics and Mathematics. By the decision of the Supreme Qualifying Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of April 15th 1988 he was awarded the academic degree of Dr. Sci. in Physics and Mathematics.

Research interests:

- condensed matter physics;

- materials science;

- hydrodynamics;

- biophysics.

Visiting professor of the Department of Experimental Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology (external secondary employment).
