The Law Institute of the North Caucasus Federal University is the largest educational and scientific center in the field of jurisprudence in the North Caucasus. The Institute trains lawyers capable of performing professional tasks at a high level in the field of developing and implementing legal norms, ensuring law and order; research teachers for educational and scientific organizations, as well as specialists in the field of legal education and upbringing. 

The Institute actively participates in the work of the Association of Legal Education (AURO), the Association of Law Schools, the Consortium "Innovative Jurisprudence", which makes it possible to effectively develop cooperation with leading Russian universities implementing educational programs in the field of jurisprudence. The strategic partners are the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MGUA), Southern Federal University, Saratov State Law Academy, Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Saratov branch of IGP RAS.

Educational activities

The Institute's educational programs have received professional and public accreditation from the All-Russian Public Organization The Association of Lawyers of Russia. The programs are updated taking into account the needs of the labor market, in particular, new programs "Technological Jurisprudence in the Digital Age" (Bachelor's degree) and "Innovative Jurisprudence" (Master's degree) have been developed. 

The educational process is provided by leading scientists and teachers at 7 academic departments, as well as representatives of employers at 3 basic departments created jointly with leading specialized organizations in the region. The Institute is equipped with modern educational, laboratory, multimedia equipment, as well as software products, reference information systems and information resources. 

There are classrooms for training sessions, computer labs, a courtroom, a forensic laboratory with a forensic training ground, a law clinic, a business games room, and classrooms for students to work independently.

International activities
The Institute is the leading unit of the university for the implementation of a set of measures in the field of science and education in the Transcaucasian direction within the framework of the state tasks of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Cooperation in scientific and educational spheres is developing with the Abkhazian State University (Abkhazia), the Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia, the South Ossetian State University (South Ossetia), the Russian-Armenian University (Armenia), the International University of Information Technologies (Kazakhstan), etc. Students of the Institute undergo internships at foreign universities within the framework of international student exchanges (scholarship programs in Hungary, etc.).

Youth policy 
Extracurricular activities are aimed at developing students' leadership skills, healthy lifestyle and sports culture, cultural and aesthetic education, the formation of Russian identity and legal culture. The volunteer student group "PraObraz" holds events to raise the level of legal awareness and legal culture of schoolchildren and students of non-legal specialties. The student scientific and innovative society "Pravoved" is successfully operating, whose members participate in scientific research, perform comprehensive research and development projects in the startup format, organize and hold student scientific conferences.

Career guidance and Olympiads 
The Institute's career guidance centers host open days, field meetings with schoolchildren and students of vocational education in educational organizations, field trips for applicants, scientific seminars for students of the SUNC, classes with students of the Basic Schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences, classes for students in the framework of specialized shifts of the Leader Center, the Sirius 26 Center, etc. There is a specialized school "Young Lawyer" for students in grades 8-11. Students will gain an understanding of the work of a lawyer, understand their interests and abilities, and most importantly prepare for further specialized education in this field. The Institute actively participates in the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in the subjects of "Social Studies" and "Law", and trains schoolchildren of the Stavropol Territory for the final stage of the Olympiad. The Institute also participates in the NCFU 45th Parallel Open Olympiad in Social Studies and the qualifying stage of the Kutafinsk Law Olympiad for Schoolchildren. The regional stage of the All-Russian competition of educational courts for schoolchildren is being held jointly with the Stavropol Territory Bar Association.

Graduates of the Institute work in judicial and law enforcement agencies (courts of general jurisdiction, arbitration courts, prosecutor's offices, investigative agencies, law enforcement agencies, etc.), advocacy and notary offices, state and municipal authorities, commercial and non-profit organizations, as well as in educational organizations.
