NCFU discussed the future of psychological support for students

North Caucasus Federal University hosted a significant All-Russian scientific and methodological seminar on "Psychological support as a resource for subjective well-being and social optimism of students: a cross-regional dialogue."
The event was organized by the Federal Resource Center for Psychological Services in the Higher Education System of the Russian Academy of Education in cooperation with the NCFU Psychological Service. The seminar was held in a hybrid format, which made it possible to bring together participants both face-to-face and remotely.
The seminar was attended by teachers and specialists of psychological services of Russian universities, as well as representatives of the Russian Academy of Education.

– During the seminar, we discussed the most important aspects of the formation of students' psychological comfort. Our common goal is to create an educational environment where every student feels protected. We are ready to share our accumulated experience and learn from colleagues," said Tatyana Banshchikova, Head of the NCFU Psychological Service.
During the event, reports from leading experts in the field of psychology were presented. The participants discussed topical issues of monitoring the well-being of students, examined the cross-cultural characteristics of student youth, investigated crisis conditions among young people and discussed the resources of universities for the formation of psychological security. A master class on first aid was also held as part of the event.
The seminar also included a master class "First Psychological Aid", which was conducted by Tatiana Kolesnik, Chief Analyst of the Psychological counseling, supervision and Personnel Support Sector of the Federal Resource Center for Psychological Services in the Higher Education System of the Russian Academy of Education. The participants not only gained valuable theoretical knowledge, but also were able to practice in simulated critical situations, increasing their professional readiness to provide emergency assistance.

During the lesson, Tatiana Kolesnik talked about the key principles of providing first aid to a person in a state of crisis. Special attention was paid to the analysis of real stressful situations and the development of safe algorithms of actions. In practice, the speaker clearly demonstrated how to react correctly and what to say in order to stabilize the emotional state of the victim.
The seminar became an important platform for the exchange of experience between specialists of psychological services in various regions of Russia and contributed to the development of new approaches to psychological support for students.
