Our students receive practical skills starting from the first year. Classes are held in specialized laboratories and training centers with the latest equipment, the same as at leading enterprises in the industry. For example, students use simulators to master all types of oil and gas well repairs, from cementing to hydrochloric acid treatment, while chemical laboratories determine the composition of petroleum products, their viscosity, water content, and other indicators. Special programs allow you to simulate the processes occurring in the borehole! 

The faculty has established a geological museum with three major departments for paleontology, regional and general geology. The mineralogical department has collected about 2,000 samples of minerals, crystals, rocks and minerals, including oil and core from various wells, and in the paleontological department you can travel back to the time of the dinosaurs. The collection includes, for example, prints of ancient plants and fish, a fragment of an ichthyosaur's spine, a mammoth tooth, and much more. 

Students are taught by specialists with basic engineering education, scientists, and developers of innovative technologies. All of them undergo internships and advanced training, including abroad, and are willing to share their experiences with students and practitioners. 

Industrial partners of the faculty, such as Gazprom, NPF Packer, and Cen Geo, have opened specialized classes at NCFU. Another long-standing partner of the university is the regional division of Lukoil. These and other companies are waiting for students to join them for internships and internships. Within the walls of the faculty, students study not only domestic but also foreign experience. The best of the best will be able to complete internships at universities in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, and some of these guys can go to study in Hungary and another country under academic mobility programs. 

Among the students of the faculty there are winners of international competitions and Olympiads, the largest youth forums in the country. The scholarship holders of the awards of the President and Government of Russia, regional authorities and various foundations study here. The students present their innovative developments at federal venues, for example, at the "Smart Guy", "Start", and "Student Startup" contests and win research grants. The Faculty has become a platform for the exchange of experience between scientists from the largest enterprises in Russia and other countries. 

Within the framework of traditional conferences, the Faculty of Oil and Gas Engineering from NCFU presents new technologies for prospecting and exploration of deposits, processing and transportation of raw materials, environmental protection and many others. Many developments are protected by patents. 

Graduates of the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering from NCFU work all over the world. 

The largest enterprises of the oil and gas industry, geophysical and design organizations consider graduates of this faculty to be promising and competitive employees.
