The International Education Department of North Caucasus Federal University is responsible for developing the export of educational services, coordinating interactions with international students, and implementing projects to promote Russian education abroad. The university has extensive experience in training specialists for foreign countries and has established a comprehensive system for working with international students. As a result, the number of international students has grown more than eightfold since the university's establishment. Currently, about 1,500 international citizens from 59 countries are enrolled in degree programs and the preparatory department.

Key Areas of Activity

·         Organization of work in the Preparatory Department for international citizens.

·         Administration of linguodidactic testing in Russian as a foreign language.

·         Issuance of certificates confirming proficiency in Russian language and knowledge of the fundamentals of Russian legislation.

·         Support services for international students (visa support, adaptation assistance, and academic advising).

·         Participation in international projects aimed at promoting the Russian language and Russian education.

Functions:

·         Maintenance of documentation related to the education of international citizens at NCFU.

·         Organization and implementation of extracurricular activities to engage international students in research and social initiatives, ensure comfortable living conditions in dormitories, and promote media coverage of international student life.

·         Provision of informational, legal, organizational, and other support to international citizens arriving at NCFU for educational purposes.

·         Cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, embassies, and national student associations on matters concerning the education of international citizens.

·         Coordination with university departments on issues related to the stay of international students at NCFU during their studies.
