NCFU students visited St. Petersburg
As part of the summer wellness campaign, students of the North Caucasus Federal University visited St. Petersburg. Among the lucky ones were 20 students.
Every year, the university administration encourages the best full-time students who are actively engaged in scientific, social, sports and creative activities. They go on sightseeing trips to the Black Sea coast and to various cities of Russia, including St. Petersburg.
For four days, the students visited the main sights of the northern capital – St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Kunstkammer, the Trubetskoy Bastion prison. The students also took a ride along the Neva River and admired the beauty of the city from the Colonnade, overcoming 296 steps.
Numerous museums of St. Petersburg deserved special attention of tourists-from the famous Hermitage to the interactive Museum of Optics and the Grand Layout Russia Museum. For the first time, the excursion program included a visit to the Museum of Railways of Russia, during which students got acquainted with the present, past and future of railway transport: from the first steam locomotives to modern equipment and technologies.
– Of course, St. Petersburg has not left anyone indifferent. The stunning architecture fascinates from the first minutes of your stay in this wonderful city, " Veronika Ivanyuk, a student of the NCFU Institute of Education and Social Sciences, shared. – We had an incredibly rich program, thanks to which we were able to see all the main sights of the city and even more. I want to thank our university for the best students!
The students were also impressed by one of the most beautiful places in St. Petersburg - Peterhof, its richness and grandeur of palaces and parks. And, of course, at the end of the trip, the guys took a walk around the night city and were able to enjoy the view of the drawbridges.
Summer trips with NCFU continue. Two dozen lucky people are already getting acquainted with the history and culture of ancient Kazan, and forty more university students will soon go to the Black Sea coast.
