North-Caucasus Federal University has taken the third line among Russia’s Young University Rankings 2023.

The rankings have been developed by Times Higher Education – a British magazine dealing with higher education. For the year of 2023, the list included 605 universities founded after 1973, with NCFU – the largest university of the North Caucasus Region – entering the list for the first time and sharing its well-deserved line with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov.

– The growing image of the Federal University relies on the active research carried out by our experts, the expanding number of international contacts, the increasing number of published items, and other indicators. I am sure that one of the criteria is the demand that our technologies enjoy in the real production, as well as the demand that our graduates reveal when they come to the labor market, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted.

The rankings took into account 13 effectiveness criteria divided into 5 areas, namely, teaching, research, citation, international progress and income.

Notable is that the world’s leading five are universities of Singapore, China, France and the Netherlands, whereas the Russian top leader is the Higher School of Economics.
