Representatives of law enforcement agencies, together with scientists from NCFU and other universities, were able to identify the main trends and contradictions in modern Russian, foreign and international law related to crime prevention issues. We also managed to outline proposals for further improvement of the current anti–criminal legislation and streamlining the practice of its application," Kirill Dolgopolov shared.
The key topics of discussion were issues of criminal law, criminal procedure, penal enforcement, criminological and criminalistic counteraction to crime, as well as proposals for improving legislation and law enforcement practice. The participants also reviewed current trends in the implementation of criminal law policy, the problems of countering corruption and cybercrime, terrorist and extremist crimes, environmental crime and other relevant areas of legal science.
During the conference, an active discussion took place on most of the stated topics, and agreed positions were developed on a number of issues. The participants noted the high level of organization and the practical importance of the discussions for the development of legal science and law enforcement practice.
