The Head of the Government of the Russian Federation approved Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova as the new rector of NCFU

On March 24, 2026, by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 597-r, Professor Tatyana Shebzukhova, previously acting Rector since July 2025, was appointed Rector of the North Caucasus Federal University.

An interregional round table at the North Caucasus Federal University discussed the substantive aspects of teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood", bringing together experts from leading universities in the North Caucasus. This course was included in the list of required courses on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation.

The spring regional tour of the sixth season of the All-Russian student project "Your Turn" has started at the North Caucasus Federal University. The event brought together activists from Stavropol, bringing together more than a thousand participants within the walls of the university.

The NCFU team won the reality show "Passion for Grants"

North Caucasus Federal University has won the third season of the science reality show "Passion for Grants". The team of scientists successfully passed all the tests of the project and won a grant from the Russian Science Foundation in the amount of 5 million rubles annually for the development of their research.

NCFU scientists are developing a strategy for the sustainable development of mountainous areas through the development of tourism. The project, supported by the Russian Science Foundation, is aimed at solving the acute problem of population outflow and creating new jobs.
