The North Caucasus Federal University has joined the campaign, which takes place in Russia every year on the third of September. On the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, dedicated to the memory of the victims of terrorist acts, students and university staff took part in a number of events.
The "Remember Beslan" campaign included 21 participants – NCFU students and staff who went to Beslan to travel along an educational route that included sites and monuments, a sightseeing tour of the city, a ceremony at the memorial cemetery "City of Angels", as well as a conversation "Fundamentals of security" with an invited specialist in anti-terrorist protection.

The main university opened a photo exhibition "We remember Beslan", presenting about 20 works – these are photographs depicting moments of tragic days. Then, in 2004, a group of terrorists seized School No. 1 in Beslan, where a festive lineup was taking place at that time. More than 1,100 people were taken hostage: children, their parents and school staff. And the photo exhibition is designed to perpetuate the memory of the victims of this tragedy.
The event was attended by Alan Misikov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in the Stavropol Territory, and Anna Bagdasarova, Director of the NCFU Coordination Center for the formation of active citizenship among young people, countering the ideology of terrorism, and preventing extremism.
Soldiers of the student patriotic detachment "Istok" also took part in the city funeral rally in memory of the victims of Beslan, laying flowers at the monument.
At the Pyatigorsk Institute (branch) NCFU traditionally held curatorial hours, during which students watched the film "Warriors against Demons", dedicated to the heroism of the special forces during the terrorist attack in Beslan. They also unveiled a monument to teachers, staff and students of the university who died defending their homeland in different historical periods.

The Nevinnomyssk Technological Institute (branch) of NCFU also joined the campaign. The university held events dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism. The students were shown anti-terrorist fiction and documentaries to promote rejection of violence, and were also told about the nature of terrorist activities, recruitment mechanisms to radical structures, and the legal consequences of participating in banned organizations. It all ended with the memorable action "Drop of Life", where NTI students symbolically poured water at the memorial signs with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of terrorism.
