As Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted, the first students to attend the Russian as a Foreign Language courses will be children of refugees from Afghanistan.

– These courses will be our joint project with the Russian Educational Cooperation Agency in Tajikistan. The training is to be delivered both face-to-face and online, from the Slavic Culture & Education Center in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), – Mr. Bespalov was quoted as saying.

Around 210 persons have already announced they would like to study Russian, while the age of the potential students is diverse – from 9 to 25.

As the Russian Educational Cooperation Agency noted, this project is of high value because it is aimed at helping Afghani refugees get better adjusted in both the schools and universities of Tajikistan.
