The North-Caucasus Federal University and the Dalian University have agreed on launching joint degree programs to offer training in four fields. The project has been presented to the Department of Education at the Liaoning province as well as to the Ministry of Education of China.

The partners are to launch the project next year, in order to offer training in the field of information systems, computer technology, mechanical engineering and electronics. The first two years students will spend at home to improve the Russian language, after which they will have a chance to complete their respective degrees within the walls of the NCFU.

– Our curricula are in complete agreement, – Vladimir Samoylenko (Head of Department for International Projects and Programs, NCFU) noted. – One third of all the subjects will be delivered by the NCFU teachers, who will teach the students at the Dalian University thus giving them new knowledge and experience. From Year 3 on, the students will be welcome to go on studying at the NCFU. Those completing the entire course successfully, will be awarded two degrees – one from each partner.

 – The areas we have selected for cooperation are popular and well represented in our universities, - Nikita Avralev (Pro-Rector for Strategic Development, NCFU) was quoted as saying. – Talking of the NCFU we can say that we are a flagship in the area engineering training in the region, with logs of experience in the respective areas and strong partnerships. The Dalian University, in turn, has huge experience in international cooperation and exchange, so I am sure this joint project will be fruitful indeed thus contributing to the quality of education.
