As part of the 2026 admission campaign, North Caucasus Federal University has completed the enrollment of applicants for budget‑funded places in bachelor's and specialist's degree programs. This year, programs in the field of information technology, construction and engineering specialties were especially in demand.

This year, 2,081 students were enrolled in bachelor's and specialist's degrees, including 43 winners of the listed Olympiads (without entrance tests). Among the leading areas in terms of the number of students enrolled on a budgetary basis are "Oil and gas business" (150 people), "Construction" (130 people, including those with the Pyatigorsk branch), "Chemical Technologies" (100 people, including the parent university and the Nevinnomyssk branch).

The applicants also showed great interest in the areas of "Electric Power Industry", "Electronics and Nanoelectronics", "Psychology", "Management" and "State and Municipal Administration".

– NCFU's strategic mission is to form the intellectual and professional framework of the region. We are purposefully working to preserve and increase human capital in our macroregion: young people can receive high-quality education near their homes. The University builds educational trajectories in close connection with the demands of the economy and key vectors of the region's development. This is another important vector - practice orientation, more than 90 percent of graduates are employed in their specialty," said Vasily Ivanov, Vice–rector for Educational Activities at NCFU.

Currently, the university continues to recruit international students: as of the current date, 31 foreign students have been enrolled according to the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation. There is also admission to NCFU colleges for secondary vocational education; for master's degree programs; and paperwork for commercial bachelor's and specialist's degrees continues.

In addition, 104 students have been enrolled in a Specialized Academic Research Center.
