NCFU is running a special degree program for foreign students seeking to be front-line pharmacists, and the program is more than popular.

The complementary Clinical Biology degree program, which has been taught at NCFU since 2016 is especially popular among students from Marocco and Tunisia – in 2017 there was only one students, seven of them coming in 2018, and the number is growing. Last year we had 153 students majoring in the program, while in 2024 we can proudly say we have 182 foreigners here.

– The latest years have shown a steady trend among foreigners seeking to study at NCFU, and we have especially many of foreign students coming from the ex-Soviet areas and Middle Asia. Now we have a total body of 1873 foreign students studying here. These students also like complementary programs, and Medicine is one of the most popular areas. We also have our experts travel, for instance to Kongo to deliver training outside, – Dmitry Bespalov (rector, NCFU) noted.

As for the special demand for the program in question among students from Marocco and Tunisia, this is due to the fact that being a licensed pharmacist will allow these experts have their own pharmacy, which is not an easy task, However, the knowledge once acquired at NCFU will never fail, the degree being acknowledged officially in the two countries, including many others, and more than a few NCFU-trained experts serve perfect proof.
