The second shift of the NCFU Summer School: sports, traditions and team spirit

17.06.26 14:16

Category: Main

The second shift of the NCFU Summer School has started at the North Caucasus Federal University. The program is focused on the comprehensive development of schoolchildren: participants will strengthen physical fitness, master applied skills, immerse themselves in the history of sports and folk traditions.

– A true champion is not only speed, endurance and lightning–fast reaction, but also the ability to think ahead and work in a team. That is why the program is designed to develop both the body, the intellect, and collective interaction," said Alexandra Alekseeva, Deputy Vice–Rector and Head of the NCFU Student Potential Development Department and Head of the NCFU Summer School.

Every day for the guys is scheduled by the minute and includes activities of a different nature. Russian folk games, strength and willpower in heroic competitions, speed and coordination in track and field training, and a swimming pool are all part of the day.

Through familiarization with the basics of physiology, tourism skills and military‑applied disciplines, children develop a stable motivation to lead a healthy lifestyle.

As part of the educational component, participants get acquainted with the history of the Faculty of Physical Culture and sports achievements of the Stavropol Territory and Russia. An introduction to the Olympic movement and the rules of various sports takes a special place.

Special attention is paid to the formation of teamwork skills. Through such tasks, participants develop not only physical qualities such as strength, agility, speed, coordination, and endurance, but also the ability to support each other and work together.

Classes are held daily from 08:30 to 18:30.

The next shift starts on June 29 and will last until July 10.

Detailed information about the program and the terms of participation is available on the official website.
