"Russian Language and Education Popularization in African countries" educational project has been completed at North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU). Russian language teachers and food industry specialists studied at the university for ten days.

26 specialists from Mali, Burkina Faso, the Republic of Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa have mastered programs in two areas. "Russian" was introduced to one of the two educational programs, namely, "Biotechnologies for ensuring food security, the production of functional and personalized nutrition products" and "Methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language at the initial stage: effective strategies and modern approaches." They included master classes, practical and lecture classes.

— I really enjoyed the lectures where we were told about how to teach phonetics, grammar and methodology. After studying, I want to travel to Russia more often, including to such events," said Dauda Sanu from the Republic of Mali.

The participants were particularly interested in the cultural and sightseeing sections. "African specialists" listened to concert programs, visited the interactive museum, the genomic center and the scientific research laboratory "Gold of Fields" of NCFU, the museum "Russia – my history", as well as local history and cultural-educational excursions "Retro-point. Vorontsovskaya Grove" and "Voices of the Caucasus. Meeting of cultures at the healing waters", going to the resort towns of the Caucasian Mineral Waters after completing the educational program.
