On the eve of Russia Day, which is celebrated on June 12, a patriotic action was held for students at the North Caucasus Federal University, unfurling the national flag of the Russian Federation.

The event is aimed at fostering an active civic position among young people. 100 NCFU students unfurled the banner of the National Flag of the Russian Federation, and such a lively composition of dozens of young people became not just a demonstration of respect for the national symbol, but a true embodiment of the unity and connection of generations.

"Our students actively participate in patriotic actions – not only at the university and city levels, but also in national and international ones. For them, this is not an obligation, but an inner need to be a part of the country, to feel connected to its history and people. And the most important thing is that they carry all this through their entire student life," said Elena Ovcharova, head of the Civil and Patriotic Education Department of the NCFU Educational Work Department.

The event also included an award ceremony for the university delegation, which took part in the Military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa 2.0", which was held in Pyatigorsk from May 25 to May 29, 2026.
