NCFU hosted a meeting of the permanent bilateral commission on collective bargaining

Last Wednesday, a meeting of the permanent bilateral commission on collective bargaining was held at the North Caucasus Federal University. The Commission was established to ensure a constructive dialogue between the parties, coordinate their interests and monitor the fulfillment of commitments made within the framework of the social partnership.

Social partnership is a system of relations between employees and employers aimed at ensuring the coordination of their interests in the regulation of labor relations. One of the key forms of implementing such a partnership is the conclusion of collective agreements. The collective agreement, in turn, makes it possible to establish additional social guarantees for employees in excess of the norms stipulated by law.

The meeting was led by the co–chairs of the commission, Vice-Rector for General Affairs Ruzanna Yurievna Zakharchenko and Chairman of the primary trade union organization of NCFU employees Viktor Vasilyevich Melnikov. Representatives of the university administration and the trade union organization summed up the interim results of the Collective Agreement for 2024-2027 and discussed a number of changes.

Among other things, the list of holidays stipulated by the Collective Agreement has been supplemented with Higher School Teacher's Day, a professional holiday established to emphasize the high status of higher school teachers, attract talented young people to teaching, and celebrate the key role of universities in shaping the country's intellectual and human resources potential. The inclusion of the date in the NCFU Collective Agreement is a logical decision that confirms respect for the work of teachers.

The NCFU Collective Agreement is the main document that establishes social guarantees for university employees. It outlines all the support measures that employees are entitled to, additional payments and incentives that the university, as a responsible employer, provides in excess of the standards established by labor legislation.
