On March 25, 2026, a meeting was held in Stavropol between the rector of the North Caucasus Federal University, Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova, and the head of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory, Major General of Justice Alexander Perepelitsyn. The parties agreed on joint activities to improve the professional training of students and discussed areas for further cooperation in the field of education and science, including the implementation of educational programs, advanced training and the introduction of new scientific developments.

– The partnership between NCFU and investigative authorities is not only the transfer of experience from generation to generation, but also the creation of an innovative environment for the development of legal science and law enforcement practice. As the flagship university of the North Caucasus, we continue to train personnel capable of meeting the challenges of protecting citizens' rights at the highest level," said NCFU Rector Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova.

After that, an open dialogue took place between the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the students. The event brought together about 500 people, students from the main university in Stavropol and the Pyatigorsk Institute of NCFU, who connected via videoconference.

Over the years of joint work, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and NCFU have built a constructive partnership covering key areas: training qualified personnel, organizing internships for students, conducting joint scientific and patriotic events.

The results of this interaction are obvious. Currently, more than a third of the entire staff of the investigative department in the region are graduates of the Law Institute and the Pyatigorsk branch of NCFU.

The Scientific and Educational Center for Forensic Expertise and Expert Research at NCFU also plays an important role in the partnership. Last year alone, the center's specialists performed more than 200 forensic examinations. 85% of which were carried out according to court orders. All the conclusions formed the basis of court decisions or indictments.

The head of the investigative department for the region noted the importance of the joint work of the university and the department:

– It is especially valuable to me that our cooperation with NCFU is a living, real job. And our task is to make this connection even stronger: so that the knowledge gained here can immediately be applied in the real work of an investigator," said Major General of Justice Alexander Perepelitsyn, head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory.

During the meeting, the students were able to communicate with Alexander Perepelitsyn in the format of an open dialogue. The parties discussed the prospects of digitalization of investigative work, the specifics of investigating cybercrimes and the role of interdisciplinary knowledge in modern legal practice.

The meeting became a vivid example of effective cooperation between education and the law enforcement system, which is necessary to strengthen law and order in the region and the country.
