The North Caucasus Federal University has become a platform for a unique dialogue between generations. The thematic meeting "Science is a family matter" brought together representatives of the university's scientific dynasties. The event was held in an informal atmosphere, allowing participants to go beyond academic reports and discuss their personal experiences of growing up in the profession.

The central topic of the discussion was the formation of scientific dynasties. The participants discussed whether the path of the researcher is a conscious choice or a natural influence of the family environment. Representatives of the dynasties agreed that the "scientific environment" has been forming a special type of thinking since childhood, where curiosity becomes a natural trait of character.

– Scientific dynasties are the golden fund of our university. By supporting the relay of knowledge between generations, the dynasties ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of Russian scientific schools at the global level," said Lyudmila Aliyeva, Director of the Department of Science.

The participants shared personal stories about how competencies necessary for scientific research are transferred at home, outside classrooms, and confirmed that personal example is a key factor in educating future scientists.
