A new exhibition dedicated to the heads of the Russian public education management system has been opened in the main building of the North Caucasus Federal University. The portraits are located next to the Rectors' gallery. Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova, Acting Rector of NCFU, spoke at the opening.

Among the portraits presented are the leaders of the Russian education system for more than two centuries, from Peter Zavadovsky, Minister of National Education of the Russian Empire, to Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The gallery covers the key stages of the formation and development of Russian education from the tsarist period to the present.
– Before us are the faces of those who, in different eras, were responsible for the fate of the enlightenment in Russia. From the first ministers of the Russian Empire to the modern heads of ministries, this gallery becomes the visible embodiment of the idea of continuity, which stretches throughout the history of our country. This gallery will remind all of us of a simple and great truth: the education system is a living organism. It is shaped not only by decrees and reforms, but also by the personality, character, beliefs and will of those who take responsibility," said Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova, Acting Rector of NCFU.

In the future, the university plans to open a portrait gallery of honorary and honored professors of NCFU, who have made a significant contribution to the formation of scientific schools and the development of universities.
