North Caucasus Federal University is launching a project to create an academic translation agency, UNIVER-LINGVO, a multifunctional center. Its goal is to solve complex problems in the field of communication and international cooperation.

The new structure will be based on the Department of Linguistics of the NCFU Faculty of International Relations. The Bureau is designed as a platform combining educational, scientific and practical areas, and will continue to develop the linguistic profile of the university, taking into account the demands of the academic environment and the market.

UNIVER-LINGVO will work with NCFU students, staff, and external customers. The services include written and oral translation, including sequential and simultaneous, notarization of documents, work with audio and video materials, as well as linguistic support for business negotiations and events, including outside the region. The working languages are Russian, English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish and Arabic.

A separate block will be devoted to training: courses, workshops, seminars and additional education programs on the theory and practice of translation are planned. The bureau will also improve the skills of foreign language teachers, not only at NCFU, but also at other universities in the region.

The UNIVER-LINGVO project will become a practical base for students of linguistics and international studies, will attract expert translators to the work and develop partnerships with professional associations and companies.
