The North Caucasus Federal University has organized the work of a regional interdepartmental working group on the pilot project "Formation of an educational route system for children and youth with disabilities and disabilities for higher education and further employment." The project is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

Stavropol region and, in particular, NCFU, were among the first 6 pilot regions for the implementation of a socially significant project, since Stavropol university is the leading university in the region for the education of people with disabilities and HIA. In total, 304 students of this category study at NCFU, and an accessible architectural and educational environment has been created.

– With the participation of NCFU, five project teams have been created in the Stavropol Territory in various areas: early care, preschool education, school education, vocational and higher education, and employment assistance, including for participants in special operations and people with mental disabilities. The project teams work within the framework of four tracks: socialization, education, career guidance and employment," said Natalia Borozinets, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Head of the Department of Correctional Psychology and Pedagogy at the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy, Director of the Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the Education of the Disabled and People with Disabilities.

The university helped to develop a variable model of the educational route, create a mechanism for interdepartmental interaction, and develop a roadmap for their implementation. The staff of the Department of Correctional Psychology and Pedagogy of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy and the RMC have prepared a voluminous package of methodological documents. All this is done in order to make the educational route for children and youth with disabilities and disabilities, from early care to higher education and employment, seamless.

For example, NCFU has developed effective practices: in the socialization track, regional maps of resources for integrated rehabilitation and habilitation of children with disabilities of early and preschool age have been made, and in the career guidance area, the Abilimpics interuniversity championship has been implemented, which is held at the university with both students and schoolchildren. An inclusive coworking space for professional and educational initiatives and an accelerator of entrepreneurial competencies for students and graduates with disabilities and disabilities has also been created.

One of the steps in the implementation of the project was the joint work of NCFU with the regional Ministry of Social Protection and the Regional Personnel Center, which implemented a project to create an interdepartmental commission to coordinate workplace adaptation programs for ITS participants and citizens with disabilities. The university staff became part of it.
