Today, an agreement on establishing the SUSTAINABLE TOURISM Consortium has been signed at the Center for International Trade. The Consortium in question has brought together the best universities of Russia, including NCFU, as well as the respective industry experts.
Russia’s leading universities offering training and degrees in Tourism, special companies, associations, tourist agencies and an airlines company – 15 participants all together – have come to lock arms to go on further. The Consortium will carry out activities aimed at training experts to be further employed in the national tourism industry and to solve respective tasks.
- This cooperation will promote constructive dialog among various companies engaged in the sphere. Tourism stimulates the progress in dozens of adjacent areas, which takes a comprehensive approach to resolving numerous issues in education and in the industry itself. Notable is the fact that for the North-Caucasus Federal District, tourism is a priority area, which has concentrated both the investment and the personnel potential featured by the region. Of 35 breakthrough investment projects designed for the entire region, 9 imply progress in the tourism cluster, - Dmitry Bespalov noted (Chair of NCFD Universities Consortium; Rector, NCFU).
The activity areas for the Consortium include sustainable tourism, which includes the assessment of the effectiveness level for municipal, regional and federal, international projects aimed at ensuring continuous tourism development; the involvement of talented youth, as well as scientific and expert-analytical activities. Besides, a Roadmap was approved for the Consortium for 2023 and 2024.
The results attained by the Consortium are to be presented at conferences and other events as early as by the end of 2023, to be then implemented at various levels of public management.
