North Caucasus Federal University has joined the events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Mourning. Students and staff of the university paid tribute to the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War and supported commemorative actions aimed at preserving historical memory.

Students of the patriotic detachment "Istok" and employees of the Department of civic and patriotic education laid flowers at the Eternal Flame memorial. Together with the residents of the city, they observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen.

After the All-Russian Minute of silence, an online exhibition of themed posters began at the university. The exposition, presented on the NCFU information screens, was dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War, the feat of the Soviet people and the preservation of historical memory.

On this day, the Candle of Memory campaign was also held throughout Russia, which became a symbol of respect for the heroic deed of the defenders of the Fatherland and the memory of the victims of the war.

Commemorative events contribute to preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, strengthening the continuity of generations, and fostering civic responsibility and patriotic awareness among young people.
