A student of the North Caucasus Federal University became the winner of the city competition "Woman of the Year" in Stavropol, winning first place in the nomination "Successful Youth".
The jury, consisting of deputies, representatives of business, public organizations and the mayor's office, studied questionnaires, success stories and reviews, and also took into account the participation of finalists in pre–final events, in particular, a master class on creating kokoshniks. This year, over 50 applications have been received for participation. All the finalists received prizes.
Arina Kalyandra is a second–year student at NCFU and a graduate of the Vasily Skakun Sports School. In 2025, she won gold at the World Trampoline Championships in Spain. It was this success that became the basis for the nomination and subsequent victory in the nomination. Experts noted Arina's achievement as a good example for young Stavropol women who combine their studies with high results in sports.

For winning the nomination, Arina received a trip to St. Petersburg, a SPA certificate to the Caucasian Mineral Waters sanatorium and memorable gifts from the organizers. The award ceremony was held at the Stavropol Palace of Culture and Sports.
It is worth noting that Tatiana Grobova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences named after Professor N.I. Chervyakov, became the winner in the nomination "Woman at Height". Oksana Stasenko, Head of the NCFU Educational Work Department, and Svetlana Orekhova, a research laboratory assistant at the NCFU Department of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, also became finalists of the competition.
For reference: the contest is held annually by the Stavropol administration and celebrates the achievements of women in the professional, social and family spheres. The participants are evaluated in three categories: "A woman at her best" – for career success, "Successful youth" – for young talents, and "Keeper of the family hearth" – for her contribution to the family.
