Stavropol Region to Launch New System for Textile Waste Treatment
Elizaveta Migunova (student, NCFU) has joined the MASHUK Russian National Youth Forum to win a federal grant, which is to be spent on YOUR CLOTHES – her special project aimed at establishing a special regional system for textile waste treatment.

The project is to start as soon as in January, 2023, and it implies collecting useless or wasted clothes, screening them all and then using either for charity purposes or for processing.
– We started collecting clothes two years ago, so we do know how to do it. We are going to put five containers around the city with a sign telling people how to donate clothes, – Elizaveta was quoted as saying.

– The containers will help us reduce the number of items to be dumped. We have not discussed any specific spots in Stavropol yet we are planning to select ones where most people pass through the day.
Further on, the textile will be taken to the Krasnodar Region for processing and turning into something that still can be used both in households or industries.
