Following a request from the city management, NCFU researchers have developed new tourist guides to serve both local residents and visitors on a free basis. The guides are available in English and in Russian and are implemented on the izi.travel platform. Right now, there are two audio routes available, which will introduce you to the history of bot h the city and the region.

– A smartphone, a pair of comfortable shoes and headphones – this is all you need to see the most popular sights here. Statistics shows that about 50% of tourists in Russia are independent, and this share is going to grow, so the audio-guides are the right choice for those coming for a short time and yet seeking to learn more about Stavropol, – Rakim Makhmudov (Head, Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship and National Technological Initiative projects) was quoted as saying.

The izi.travel app is really easy to use – just select the route you need, click on the sight in the virtual map and get the details. The recording will go in the background, so you can both listen to it and watch through the map or even make pictures,
