The student sports club of the North Caucasus Federal University "Southern Elephant" won the second place in the final of the project "Universal League of the TRP" at the All-Russian Student Sports Festival "ASSK FEST".

The festival was held on the Federal territory of Sirius and gathered thousands of participants from dozens of regions of the country. ASSK FEST is one of the largest student sports events in Russia: The strongest student teams representing universities from all over the country meet on the same site. The final of the GTO Universal League became one of the central competitive tracks of the festival – only those who passed through the regional and zonal selection stages received the right to participate in it.

The Universal TRP League is an All–Russian project aimed at popularizing the TRP complex among students through team competitions. The format tests participants on several parameters at once: physical fitness, endurance, coordination, and the ability to act as a single team under competitive pressure. The final brought together the winners from all over Russia – those who have already proved their level in the previous stages.

The NCFU team performed confidently in this composition and, following the results of the final starts, took the second place among the strongest student teams in the country. The result demonstrated the high level of training of the club's athletes and confirmed the university's position in the student sports movement at the federal level.

The Southern Elephant Student Sports Club operates on the basis of NCFU and unites university athletes representing it at competitions of various scales – from regional tournaments to All-Russian finals.
