NCFU won gold at the VI Physics and Mathematics Olympiad

Students of the North Caucasus Federal University won medals at the VI All-Russian Student Physics and Mathematics Competition named after Igor Tamm.
The full-time stage of a prestigious educational project for talented young people in the field of exact sciences has ended at the National Center for Physics and Mathematics in Sarov. The event was also organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The program included lectures by leading scientists, academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences and professors of Moscow State University on supercomputing technologies, quantum computing, mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence methods. The participants are 3-4–year bachelor's degree students in physics, mathematics, and engineering from leading Russian universities. They completed workshops and laboratory work on the basis of the Sarov Moscow State University infrastructure.

There were also competitive tests – a written tour and an oral defense of knowledge in fundamental disciplines. Live communication, exchange of experience and the expertise of the jury with representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences made the program especially intense.
As a result, Naira Hakobyan, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science named after Professor N.I. Chervyakov NCFU, won in the direction of "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science". The prize-winner was her classmate Vladislav Archebasov.
