Students of the North Caucasus Federal University took part in the Arctic Team search expedition, which worked in the Sebezhsky fortified area of the Pskov region.

From April 30 to May 11, as part of the intercollegiate search team, first-year students of the NCFU Department of Oil and Gas Geology, Danil Kolotilin and Zakhar Karnaukhov, were engaged in lifting the remains of fallen soldiers and searching for artifacts of the Great Patriotic War. The place of work is an area of fierce fighting, where the village was completely destroyed; today only pillboxes and outlines of trenches remain there.

The trip took place within the framework of the All-Russian interuniversity project "Team of the Arctic", organized by RTU MIREA. The main purpose of the expedition was to raise the remains for subsequent reburial and collect materials to help reconstruct the history of the events.

The students not only participated in the excavations, but also laid flowers at the memorial. It was a special honor for them to participate in the reburial ceremony of two soldiers, whose remains were discovered during this "Memorial Vigil."
