Recall that by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 2026 and 2027 were declared the Years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of education.
NCFU consistently expands the formats of cooperation in the international arena: from the CIS countries and the South Caucasus to the Middle East, Africa and Asia. A new level of cooperation with scientific and educational organizations of the People's Republic of China has been outlined since the end of 2025, with the arrival of a delegation to NCFU, and then a mirror visit to China in early 2026.

– Cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities is part of a common course to strengthen ties between the two countries. And this systemic partnership covers a wide range of joint initiatives: from the creation of common educational programs, student exchange, internships to research projects. Of course, the meeting with the Consul General of Russia in Shanghai was an important step in coordinating this work and strengthening the position of Russian education in China," commented Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova, Rector of NCFU.
During the meeting, Dmitry Lukyantsev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Shanghai, supported NCFU's initiatives to implement significant joint scientific and educational projects in the interests of Russia and China. He also noted that with the support of diplomatic missions, such initiatives will expand partnership dialogue and humanitarian ties, strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries.
