According to the results of 2025, the North Caucasus Federal University became one of the most media-active universities in the North Caucasus Federal District. The rating is based on data from the analytical platform "Medialogia".

Analysts of the Central Committee of the North Caucasus Federal District conducted a study of the information activity of state universities located in the North Caucasus. As a tool, Medialogy algorithms were used, which also count KPIs for the governors' media index.

Experts state that the media activity of universities has been growing for several years. In 2025, the figures were higher than in 2024. CMOM analysts have identified several cases that have had a positive impact on the performance of the media index of North Caucasus Federal District universities.

– The analysis of the media activity rating of NCFD universities by the end of 2025 shows several key trends. The activity of universities has increased quantitatively and qualitatively, and their thematic focus has shifted from simple information to strategic positioning. The main focus of the information work during the year was not only on educational initiatives, but also on the positioning of universities as active participants in the socio-economic life of the regions: solving employment issues, developing agriculture, supporting youth and cultural projects," said Roman Martin, CMOM expert, media research specialist.

The most significant NCFU publications in the media index in 2025 were:

● October 22 - The producer of the series about science in the Caucasus shared the details of the filming… The new series "Science in the North Caucasus: the Route has been Laid", created by the North Caucasus Federal University as part of the New Route Festival, tells about them.

● December 23 - A baby formula similar to breast milk was created in Stavropol. NCFU has developed technologies for the production of protein concentrates.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov and Dagestan State University are also among the most media-active universities in the district.

There are 29 state universities in the North Caucasus Federal District. Not all of them were included in the study: Medialogy does not index 2 universities as subjects of media activity: North Ossetian State Pedagogical Institute, Kurchaloyevsky Islamic Institute.
