Category: Main

The delegation of the North Caucasus Federal University is taking part in the III Forum of Rectors of Universities of Russia and Vietnam, which is taking place in Hanoi.

The Forum opened on May 22 at Hanoi University of Transport and Communications.

The event brings together the heads of dozens of leading universities in the two countries. Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, took part in the opening ceremony. It was noted that the academic environment creates an atmosphere of trust and builds the basis for a long-term partnership.

At the plenary session of the session "Engineering Education in Russia and Vietnam: joint responses to the challenges of technological sovereignty and sustainable development", NCFU Rector Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova made a presentation.

She spoke about the practice-oriented model of engineering personnel training in cooperation with industrial partners.

This concept is based on a seamless trajectory: from the school bench to the enterprise of the real sector of the economy. Over the past few years, the number of students in NCFU engineering and related specialized classes has grown more than 5 times and today stands at 711 people. The most widespread is the engineering profile, which covers 269 students in the current academic year.

The main element of our model is the training of personnel under the order of a specific employer through the mechanism of basic departments at enterprises. Today, NCFU has 46 basic departments that cover all areas of training. For example, the basic departments with the leading technological enterprises of the macroregion (Stilsoft, Signal, Electroautomatics) were created directly in the territories of industrial partners.

As part of the national objectives set by Russian President Vladimir Putin, NCFU is building up its leadership potential specifically in training engineering personnel to create new materials and chemicals, mechanical engineering, and radio electronics.

– We are ready to offer the following areas of partnership to our Vietnamese colleagues: educational programs for two degrees in engineering, joint research projects. We can also arrange internships for Vietnamese students and postgraduates at our engineering centers, in particular the Student Design Bureau and other engineering centers. Undoubtedly, mutually beneficial cooperation between the universities of the two countries will become a solid foundation for effective partnership and intercultural dialogue between Russia and Vietnam," said Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova, Rector of NCFU.

Concluding her speech, Tatiana Alexandrovna stressed that NCFU is interested in expanding cooperation with Le Qui Don University and invites other Vietnamese partners to participate in joint scientific and educational projects.

On the eve of the forum, the NCFU delegation met with the leadership of the Vietnam State Technical University named after Le Kui Don. The topic of the talks was devoted to discussing areas of educational cooperation and joint research in the field of IT technologies and computer security.

Also, as part of the business program of the visit to Vietnam, a meeting was held with Gennady Bezdetko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. We discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of NCFU partner contacts in Vietnam. The support at the diplomatic level will help deepen the partnership dialogue and humanitarian relations, and will help strengthen the strategic partnership between the universities of the two countries.
