Vyacheslav Petrenko (Head of Department for Data Protection Technology, NCFU) delivered a talk about the future of the technological progress. The expert noted that the future of the IT-sphere has already been described in detail in various plans and official papers. The spheres to progress include AI, big data, virtual and augmented reality and computer-aided learning.

– These are obvious things, which will determine our future, our well-being and our potential. Of course, the process of education is under a serious effect of computer technologies, which was especially evident through the last year, which changed a lot in the teachers’ activities. The process of education is to become life-long, – the scientist concluded.

Another thing Mr. Petrenko pointed at was that the Internet will progress, too. The access to the global network will become wide-band, while the global outreach will grow as well, and robots will come to many spheres of human life. However, the time when robots will replace people completely is far from now since they are good at performing monotonous and hard operations only, whereas their thinking capacity still leaves them far behind humas.
