Rectors of South Russia and North Caucasus Hold Joint Meeting
Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) joined an online meeting held by Rectors representing the Universities of South Russia and North Caucasus, where 60 top managers in education discussed their plans for the year, which has been announced as the Year of Science and Technology.
– We are starting this Year of Science and Technology thus supporting the National Event of February 8, – Marina Borovskaya (President, Southern Federal University; Chairwoman of South Russia’s Rectors Association) noted. – Prior to February 10 we will discuss everything and submit our agenda to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as to the Russian Union of Rectors, to the Organizing Committee and the Academy of Science. Our interaction here, at the North-Caucasus Federal District, offers a huge potential.
Mr. Bespalov, in turn, presented the experience that NCFU has accumulated in offering training to people with disabilities, suggesting hosting larger events – both research and leisure-time focused – as a way to cooperate and bring together youngsters with disabilities from various areas, including their academic exchange promotion.
The meeting was concluded with an approved list of approaches to celebrating the Year of Science and Technology.
