The admission campaign for 2026 continues at the North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU), and a memo to applicants for admission to targeted training will help them conclude an agreement with the contracting organization in order to be guaranteed a job after graduation.

Recently, the question has been increasingly raised that students should immediately go to work after receiving higher or secondary vocational education. However, there is already a mechanism in place to address issues related to both staffing shortages in certain areas of training and staffing shortages in certain regions. So, applicants can enroll in targeted training – this is a separate competition for those who are ready to sign a contract with a future employer for employment after graduation.

– A student who studies under a targeted contract is undergoing an internship at the company where he will be employed in the future. Also, during the training, he performs project and course work on topics related to this enterprise, and the organization itself can interfere through optional courses in shaping the educational trajectory of students. This leads to a seamless transition when the graduate calmly moves to the workplace and continues to perform his functions. By this time, he is fully prepared to work at the enterprise with which he signed the contract," explained Vasily Ivanov, Vice–rector for Educational Activities at NCFU.

Each organization has the right to set its own period of service in the organization, which is from 3 to 5 years. It is important that the study period is not included in this period.

To enroll in targeted training, an applicant must log on to the Gosuslugi portal and apply for admission to a university through the Enroll Online super service. To the question "Are you considering targeted training?" you must answer "Yes". To study the offers of customers and choose the ones suitable for you, and then select the North Caucasus Federal University from the list of universities and apply for admission by July 25 by filling in the suggested fields in your personal account at Gosuslugi. Track your place in the competition list on the university's website.

In case of successful completion of the competitive selection, it is necessary to submit consent for enrollment by 12:00 on August 1, 2026, by clicking on the corresponding button in the personal account on the Gosuslugi portal, or to submit an application for consent to enrollment in paper form personally at the university. The order for enrollment in targeted training is published on August 3, 2026.

To wait for information about enrollment, and after that to conclude an agreement on targeted training with the customer no later than the beginning of the academic year in electronic form through the Gosklyuch application. It is important that the conclusion of an agreement with the company is possible only after the publication of the enrollment order. It is worth noting that the competition for the target quota can be selected only for one educational program.

– It is important that the organization that publishes the offer for targeted training has the right to award the applicant 5 target points for participation in career guidance or intellectual activities. These are Olympiads, festivals and other competitions held both within the organization itself and jointly with universities," said Inna Altyeva, Head of the NCFU Talent Management Department.

Targeted training reduces the costs of an enterprise for the adaptation and retraining of an employee, and for the student himself it is a convenient and comfortable opportunity to get a job immediately after graduation.

It should be noted that at the moment, more than 1,000 people are already studying at the North Caucasus Federal University under the target quota.
