A delegation of the North Caucasus Federal University paid a working visit to Yerevan, during which negotiations with Armenian universities and participation in an international forum were held.

NCFU Vice Rector for International Cooperation Albert Kumukov held meetings with the leadership of the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUASA), NCFU's long–standing partners. The parties discussed the joint organization of the International School of Student Tourism in Yerevan in October 2026, participation in the International Scientific and Educational Forum "Caucasus-Caspian-Middle East", holding a thematic exhibition of student works dedicated to Victory Day, as well as the joint development of board games on the history, culture and language of the two countries.

Following negotiations with ASPU, an agreement was reached with Vice Rector for Science Miriam Ispiryan on the preparation of joint scientific publications in publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. During the meeting with NUASA Rector Manuk Baseghyan, the prospects of opening joint laboratories and launching double degree programs in bachelor's or master's degree engineering were discussed.

In addition to the negotiations, Albert Kumukov took part in the International Forum "Mentoring Graduates – investing in the Future", organized by the Russian-Armenian University. The Forum brought together experts and representatives of the academic community from several countries to share their experience in the field of mentoring. During the events, working meetings were held with Edward Sandoyan, Rector of the Russian-Armenian University (RAU), and Mikhail Vozdzhaev, representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in Armenia.

Cooperation with educational organizations in Armenia is one of the priorities of NCFU's international activities. In 2025, the university, together with its Armenian partners, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, already held an International Student Tourism School in Yerevan: 20 students from 13 Russian universities and 20 students from Yerevan universities took part in it. In 2026, trips to Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are planned as part of the Studtourism program.
