MinVodyEXPO show platform launched the 12^th Russia – Azerbaijan forum, which has brought around about 1000 participants representing the two countries. The event, arranged by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, is a special point in the sphere of economy, which serves to bring together experts from the entire region.

The Forum included a plenary session and four panel discussions, as well as a business session aiming to discuss various issues of small- and mid-scale business, cooperation in agriculture, and even education.

– Our University has had long and close cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan. Nowadays we are offering training to over 80 students from Azerbaijan, which are active in both Russian and international events. I believe that this Forum is a unique chance to make the socio-economic ties between Russian and Azerbaijan even stronger, also promoting our projects in research and education, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted in his speech.

Besides, NCFU is a member of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities and now there are discussions to launch a joint language & culture center both in Baku (Azerbaijan) and in Stavropol (Russia).

Besides, as the parties announced at the session, as soon as in May 2024, NCFU will host the IV Forum of Youth Initiatives of Russia and Azerbaijan, where the main focus will be on issues like the promotion of youth tourism, volunteer movements and technological entrepreneurship.

Another important issue discussed at the Forum was the export of the Russian education, where NCFU is among the leaders, and a memorandum was signed between NCFU and the Azerbaijani Agency for Export and Investments promotion, which is a step to establish cooperation between the parties in terms of training offered to future experts in view of the real need for staff.
