NCFU to Open Center of Competencies
Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) joined the Moscow International Education Salon, where he delivered a speech on establishing centers for competencies on the premises of the leading universities of Russia.
MIES is the largest show of advanced educational technologies in the country, and this time one of the major arenas for discussion was the panel discussion focusing on Center of Competencies – Intellectual Belt of Russia, which brough together the most outstanding speakers and experts representing the top academic institutions, including the NCFU. The discussion went around the new project of Russia – Country of Opportunities, which is aimed at establishing national centers for competencies. The speakers outlined both the aims and the objectives for the centers, along wit the advantages they offer to students and potential employers, namely – understanding of where to move in terms of shaping the right skills in the new generation so they are able to get the job of their dream, thus meting the current demand of the labor market.
– We will thus get new effective assessment tools for 22 supra-professional competencies, - Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) stressed when speaking of the advantages. - A single digital platform will allow much faster assessments, while obtaining a more reliable overall view and, most importantly, reaching more students.
