The NCFU is creating a new research place, which is part of the Priority-2030 program. The laboratory is to be equipped with state-of-the-art machines and will focus on assisting manufacturers in developing healthy products contributing to people’s longevity, as well as in ensuring their safety.

As Andrey Nagdalyan (Associate Professor, Dept for Food technology & Engineering) noted, the NCFU researchers, among other activities, are currently involved in work on extracting and purifying pectin from raw stuff obtained through non-conventional methods, to further develop some advanced food additives.

Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU), in turn, said that all the research projects are related to the demand from the local enterprises, and all the developments by the NCFU experts are of applied value eventually.

– The technologies will not only replace foreign products in the Russia market, yet will also reveal the power of the national research school, – Mr. Bespalov was quoted as saying.
