St. Petersburg (Russia) hosted the Russian Trampoline Team Championship and the Russian National Hopes of Russia-3 contest, where the North-Caucasus Federal University had its team of students (Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports) joining the event.

The events brought together 314 best athletes from 28 areas of Russia, while the competition program included 4 disciplines – individual trampoline jumping (Olympic discipline), synchronized trampoline jumping, double minitramp jumping and acrobatic track jumping.

The contest was more than tough, and yet, the acrobatic track team representing Stavropol, including the NCFU students (Polina Dorokhova, Nikita Lenin), came out as the winner taking gold.

– While preparing for the contest, we perfect our coordination and get more determined, - Nikita Lenin noted. – The important thing here, is control your body, manage it the right way. If you do everything fine technically, then you likely to end up on the winners stand.

The contest was selection for those seeking to join the Russia national team and perform at the World Championship se to be held in Baku (Azerbaijan) in November and the World Cup, which is to be held a week later.
