The NCFU students have won a number of awards at the Russian National Shotokan Contest held in the City of Vidnoe (Moscow Area, Russia).

The event brought around many teams representing all parts of Russia, including the team of the Stavropol Region, where Danila Maschenko (student, NCFU) took gold, with several bronze awards going to Nika Prusova, Sergey Lysenko, Andrey Sibirtsev and Artem Legotin.

– The contest means a lot of hard work, and it is not just working on your skills – both technical and physical yet also work on yourself. The contest has turned a huge motivation source to me, making me determined to move towards newer aims, – Nika Prusova (students, major – Faculty of Physical Education, NCFU) was quoted as saying.

Now the sportsmen are to start preparing for the Cup of Russia and some International Contests, which are to be held in spring and fall next year.
