NCFU Students Win Designer Contest
NCFU students joined and won the top prize at the MINGHI-TAU International Contest for Young Designers, which was held online this time.
The Jury and the organizers must have had tough time awarding the prizes given the fact there were over 300 arts colleges students from all over Russia and 13 countries including Greece, Mexico, Norway, England, Cyprus, USA, Germany, India, China, with over 600 works submitted within various nominations.
Our University’s representatives were students from the Institute of Engineering, and Maria Dolgova won gold in the Environment Design nominations, also taking bronze in the Fine Arts nomination.
– I am a member of the International Union of Designers, so it was a truly good experience for me, - Maria was quoted as saying. – I developed a project for a dental clinic following a futuristic style, with advanced technologies, including various LEDs involved. And I believe now my success will offer me a great chance to meet potential employers.
The competition, which was founded by the Russian Academy of Arts, the Government of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the International Union of Designers, and the North-Caucasus State Academy, is held to support young professionals in the field of design, as well as help revive ethnic and national arts, as well as the development of cooperation between among academic institutions around the world.
