NCFU students won their well-deserved awards at the final stage of the Open International Internet Olympiad for Students in Mathematics, which was arranged by the Volga State University of Technology, Ariel University and the University of Primorska.

The third round brought together 102 students from 57 academic institutions of the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The final tour offered the contestants 12 problems of diverse complexity, after which all the works were reviewed by the Jury.

The competition was tough indeed, and, apart from the absolute winner, winner in special nominations were chosen, where Ruslan Abdulkadirov and Anatoly Bobrov (students, NCFU) got silver in the EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGIES nomination.

– This has been my first experience at his contest and I am so happy to have won now! The rivals were really smart, each of them offering some unique solutions. And still I am happy with my result – I did advance to the super-final, where I will put my best foot forward, – Ruslan Abdulkadirov was quoted as saying.

Now, the students are to represent NCFU at the super-final, which will be held in Israel.
