NCFU Students Develop Healthy Product for Sportsmen
NCFU researchers prove that sausage can be not just tasty yet healthy as well. Senior students of NCFU working on their final research project developed the said meat-based products enriched with vitamins and macro-/microelements, which is extremely good for those sticking to healthy and active life-style.
– The additive we have developed is good for resisting lack of Vit. B2, iron and zinc, which is a common issue in many people in our country, – Alexey Golik (students, majoring in nanoengineering) was quoted as saying. – The additive also contains calcium, copper, cobalt, manganese, while all the components are selected so as to combine well and be digested easily.

The product itself is good, too – based on low-calorie meat of rabbits, chicken and beef, which makes it rich in protein yet poor of fat.
The product has already received good response from the manufacturers who supervised the project.

At the end of May, the first samples of the product were manufactured at the Academy of Sausage, LLC, the local team basketball players being the first ones to enjoy them.
