The first 1-storey 3D printed house now can be seen in Stavropol (Russia). A team of developers including experts from the SmartBuild construction company and students of the Institute of Engineering (NCFU) have jointly applied an innovative technology for house construction.

The 3D printer used is a high-tech unit that allows building houses and other structures within shortest time, whereas the material used for the construction is fine-grain concrete, so the entire process takes no more than a few days.

– NCFU is developing good relations with its industrial partners in many areas – from machinery building to food technology, and this allows launch various projects in short time limits, always seeking to resolve the most urgent national tasks through innovation-based technologies, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted.

Now, SmartBuild construction company and NCFU students are working on a project aimed at constructing a 2-storey 3D house, the first storey being ready, which has taken 3 days only.
