The Russian national cyber-contest THE ONILINE CITY 2020 has announced the winners, one of them being Hope Msiska (Master’s students, NCFU).
The contest was arranged by the YugStroyInvest group of companies and the Federation of Computer Sport of the Stavropol Region, bringing together over 700 players from 30 areas of Russia, while the prize fund was RUR 200,000.
The participants had to join battles in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA 20 and DOTA 2 – the most popular cyber-fields, and their fans were numerous – over 5,000 persons following the contest day and night online.
The NCFU student locked horns with the other participants on the virtual FIFA 20 soccer field winning silver.
– I really like sports, which explains why I chose FIFA, – Hope was quoted as saying. – I started being an active member of such cyber-contests through this lockdown period, and here I had to face a really strong rival who managed to take over and become first.
Hope has already been the winner of many other cyber-contests, while the members of the Federation of Computer Sport of the Stavropol Region have already noted he stands every chance to offer serious resistance even when playing with the best Russian sportsmen.
