As the Open International Internet-Olympiad announces the winners, Valeria Chernova (student, NCFU) comes triumphant – she is one of the winners!

The OIIO event which has been held since 2008, and is the most popular student event in the post-Soviet area.

This year it was held as an online computer testing in disciplines like History of Russia, Sociology, Culture Studies, Pedagogy, Russian Language, Philosophy and Law, with 1,930 students from 115 universities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan joining.

The NCFU representative, Valeria Chernova, was involved in the Philosophy nomination. As Valeria noted, such events are a serious test to knowledge, which is good for not only students majoring in Humanities.

– For me, this online type of test proved easier that paper tests since it was not so much stress. I think it might be due to the visual nature of the content, which gets you plunged into the contest from the very beginning, – Valeria was quoted as saying.
