NCFU Scientist Becomes Professor of UNESCO Department
Prof. Arushan Vartumyan (Dept of Hotel Business; Assistant Director for Research Activities and Innovation; Pyatigorsk Institute (Branch) of NCFU) has been elected Professor of UNESCO Department for comparative studies of spiritual traditions, cultures and inter-confessional dialog for intercultural agreement.
The decision was made by the network of UNESCO Departments at a special meeting held within the XVI International Conference RELOAD OF GENERAL CIVILIZATIONAL VALUES – RESPONSE TO PANDEMIC’S CHALLENGES.
Prof. Arushan Vartumyan has been involved in research and teaching for over 35 years now, the major area of his interest being regional political processes and official policy in education. In 2017, Prof. Vartumyan was awarded the official title of Honored Expert in Education of Russian Federation.
Through the long career, Professor Vartumyan has raised 14 Candidates of Political Sciences, and is still involved in delivering disciplines like Geography, Country studies, Political studies, Sociology and Ethnology.
